The word “Lit” means that the shader is affected by lighting. “Unlit” is quite the opposite, in that it is unaffected by lighting, therefore, Unlit Shader is a basic color model and will be the base structure that we use to start with our shader. This type of shader, ideal for low-end hardware (e.g. mobile devices), does not have optimization in its code so we can see its complete structure and modify it according to our needs, and it works in both Built-in, Universal and High Definition RP.
